The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria hosted the 22nd Conference of the Spanish Association of Colleges and Public University Residences. They were inaugurated on May 11 in the Rectorate of the ULPGC by the Rector of the ULPGC D. Rafael Robaina and afterwards the attendees moved to the Town Houses to make official reception by the Councilor of the Area of Government Presidency , Culture, Education and Citizen Security Mrs. Encarnación Galván González and to make a guided visit to them. In the afternoon, a guided tour of the historic center of the city was completed and the opening day was finished with a view of the University Residence Las Palmas.
The second day was spent in the Campus of Tafira, the participants participated in different presentations on the application of new technologies in the management of residences and afterwards the Vice-Rector of Students and Sports, Mr. Antonio Ramos Gordillo, gave a presentation on healthy habits . Attendees visited both the University Residence and the Apartments and Bungallows of the Tafira Campus. After the lunch in the dining hall of the University Residence was held the Annual Assembly of the Spanish Association of Higher Schools and Public University Residences and the seminars were finalized.
