Implementation of defibrillator in the University Residence of Tafira Campus

The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is proceeding to install defibrillators in its different buildings. One of them is the University Residence of the Campus of Tafira.

It is a medical emergency device used to restart a heart stopped by a cardiac arrest. The device discharges an electric shock to the heart myocardium through the chest to try to reestablish the heart rhythm.

Apart from the installation of the device, the training involves the training of personnel on their use and management, if necessary.
