The assembly hall of the university residence on the Tafira campus hosted the performance of the play ‘El rattle of Polichinela’, an improvised opera that updates the staging of the Italian comedy of art.
The text and direction are by José Carlos Campos, the musical direction is by tenor Manuel Gómez Ruiz. They are both accompanied by a cast of Canarian singers led by Mingo Ruano and soprano Alicia Ramos. The cast is completed by Alba Roben and the countertenor. The musical performance, on stage, is composed by musicians with their baroque guitar, theorbo and harpsichord.
